We're in the process of renovating and moving some things around so some things may look a little strange but the aim is to minimise disruption.

This website was designed in 2012 with a scope of covering present and past wrestling in Australia.
The scope will change to prioritise the older stuff and make that a bit more accessible.

I also have another website (with my good buddy Greg) The Wrestling Roadshow which has more of a global scope. We have a podcast by the same name too and discuss all sorts of wrestling.

Sam Menacker

Name: Sam Menacker
Born: May 13, 1914
From: New York City, USA
Died: January 7, 1994

Also known as: - Sam Menacher, Frank Menacker

Became a wrestler before WW2, after a successful career as a catcher for the New York Yankees. Turned to managing after the war, and to commentary in the 50s. Married to womens' legend June Byers. Became a commentator on AWA and Bruiser's WWA before coming to Australia in the mid 60s. Had several stints as commentator here until the early 70s. Also became an actor, with feature roles in Mighty Joe Young (1949) and The Wrestler (1974). Was well-known also as a magician.
