"As many of you may already know, PWWA Champion Madison Eagles is currently out of action due to a serious knee injury. Because Madison has no indication when she will be back in the ring, we here at PWA and PWWA have decided to crown an Interim Women’s Champion in her absence. Eight female wrestlers will be competing over the next few PWA shows in a tournament style competition to see who will be crowned with this highly internationally recognized title. PWWA is the leader in Women’s Wrestling in Australia and its only right that we have the best talent competing for the title. When the final match determines the winner we will be releasing the DVD complication of the tournament matches for international sale." - PWA Australia.

The final announcements for the tournament were made today. Already signed were Jessie McKay, Kellie Skater, Evie, Shazza McKenzie, Megan-Kate and Harley Wonderland. Signed today were Eliza Sway and wildcard entrant Alex Lee (aka Irena Janjic or Leah West).

The first round matches will take place on April 21, 2012 and May 5, 2012 with the Semi-final and Final dates to be announced.

For those that missed it, the team of Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls (TMDK) competed in their Proving Ground match against Ring Of Honor Tag Team Champions The Briscoe Brothers. While the Perth boys came up short against the Briscoes - they put in a real good effort and looked real good in doing so!

You can catch the replay of the show at http://www.rohwrestling.com/PPV. TMDK's match is on Night One - but I highly recommend getting both nights for $20 as their is a 5 star match between Davey Richards and Michael Elgin on Night Two.
